My Top Three Hidden Gems for Flower Viewing in Jinan!

1. Wulongtan (Five Dragons Pool)
   • Recommended Viewing Time: Late March, Mid-April
   • Late March: Cherry blossoms and crabapples bloom in succession. The crabapples are at their best during this time (if you want to see cherry blossoms, you can visit in mid-to-late March when they bloom slightly earlier). In addition to the blooming flowers, you can also enjoy the spring scenery reflected in the clear spring water, with pink flowers and green water creating a unique atmosphere.
   • Mid-April: The purple cuckoo flowers quietly bloom at Wulongtan. By mid-April, when most flowers have faded, large patches of these small purple flowers add a strong sense of spring to the area. The best viewing time is in the afternoon when the sunlight is good.
2. Quancheng Park
   • Recommended Viewing Time: Mid-April
   • Mid-April: Most flowers in Quancheng Park are in full bloom. The large clusters of fringe flowers are particularly stunning, along with the cascading bougainvillea, delicate and small kolkwitzia, plump and lovely hydrangeas, and colorful peonies. Of course, the swaying willow branches everywhere add to the vibrant spring atmosphere.
3. Quancheng Square + Moat Loop
   • Recommended Viewing Time: Late March - Early April
   • Quancheng Square: The tulips in recent years have become increasingly beautiful, with more and more colors. I absolutely loved the deep purple tulips from last year—such a sophisticated color. After viewing the tulips, take a stroll along the moat, enjoy the sparkling water, watch the boats glide by, and see the willow branches sway freely. It’s a truly delightful experience!
